- 11/2025 – White Whisker just sponsored 8 truckloads of food with Sharing Excess. In November, millions of Americans who rely on SNAP (the nation’s largest nutrition assistance program) stopped receiving their full monthly benefits as a result of the government shutdown. This put food security in jeopardy for more than 42 million people. Our friends at Sharing Excess, who use surplus food to provide fresh food to communities, saw a massive surge in need. Their team mobilized truckloads of fresh food to communities across the US, distributing millions of pounds of fresh, rescued food to families who were impacted the most. They are urgently scaling up, but the need is growing faster than their resources can keep up with. That’s why we sponsored 8 truckloads of food. For $1,290, one truck delivers enough fresh food to feed 80 families for an entire month. Our company’s contribution will directly put food on tables for families in crisis, and yours can too.
